Pilot test work demonstrated the need for inert media regrinding of rougher concentrates before cleaning, to produce a smeltable concentrate grade. IsaMill technology was selected to regrind rougher concentrate to 90 per cent passing 25 μm. Due to the scale of the WLTRP, the regrind power requirement was significant at 2.2 MW absorbed.
